On Christmas Day, Jodie and I flew to Santiago to explore the beautiful Chilean capital, from where we also took a day trip to Valparaíso (including a tour round La Sebastiana – Pablo Neruda’s House) and Viña del Mar. The Mediterranean climate was a welcome relief from the humidity of Brazil and a perfect place to spend a Christmas break in the sun. The views from San Cristóbal Hill in particular were stunning and the food was divine – in some ways it reminded me of Barcelona. The minute long video and images below capture the pleasant and surprising country that left me wanting to go back for more.
