Last Christmas, our first back in the UK for two years, was rather eventful. On Christmas Day we were without power for 12 hours thanks to power lines being flooded. We resorted to candles and a log fire whilst a rather belated turkey was cooked in the caravan using a generator. Wartime spirit prevailed and it was all a bit like Charles Dickens meets My Big Fat Gypsy Christmas (I can only assume the latter is a real thing).
Thankfully, the following day we had power back, the flooding died down and it was a beautiful blue sky day for the annual Boxing Day walk across the New Forest, which I’ve documented below in photo format. Enjoy!
